I have been heading to the library on a daily basis to help with some of the typical distractions I run into (ex: The NFL Draft) while studying. It definitely helps, although a combination of papers, pending-exams and sessions at the studio (work) are making it even more stress-inducing. I am about two clicks from full on panic.
Logic Games are getting to the point that they are enjoyable to me, which is a boon and a bust in a sense. I am afraid that if I enjoy them too much, I’ll fixate on the troublesome ones and will waste precious time. I have been trying to condition my brain to remember that each question is worth the same and I should take care of the easy games first to maximize the amount of points on the session. Then again, I am aiming for a perfect score on the Logic Games section. It’s the only section where there is a definitive, clear-cut answer to each question and there is no reason that I should not be able to obtain it. At least that is what I am telling myself.
I have been sharing the LSAT Cacophony with some students over at the top-law-schools forums and so far the response has been positive. If you haven’t been to their forums yet, it is worth a visit. I think it is by far the most complete and active forums for students preparing for the LSAT and Law School admissions. I plan to frequent the forums quite often. They have some great study guides and plans of attack depending on how many months you have available until your test date.
As with all forums, you have some immensely helpful people and some not so helpful people. Forum dynamics always take a little bit to acclimate yourself to the culture. If you are not a regular visitor of ANY forums, then it might take you even longer to grasp concepts such as “trolls,” but if you stick with it you will be just fine.
We are short an assistant at the studio today, so I’m imagining a hellacious day of running around and trying to make up for the lack of manpower. I am glad it is Friday. I have a business proposal due on Monday for my Professional Writing course, papers due in both British and American Literature on Thursday and a website for Advanced Technical Writing due around the same time. In short: I have my work cut out for me. I know I can get all of these done fairly easily, but I am worried about the exhaustion that will come from it. I have to allocate enough time for LSAT prep as well. Luckily, my girlfriend is immensely understanding and supportive or I would be in for quite the censuring as I am essentially unavailable.
